Did you know that Montana Has An International Peace Park?

I live in Whitefish Montana and I’m sure you’ve heard of Glacier National Park. You’ve probably spent a lot of time there.

But did you know that part of the park located in Montana borders Alberta, and shares an international park with the Canadian province?

The Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park ties Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada with Glacier National Park, and I think everyone should try to visit at least once in their lifetime

Glacier National Park is one of the most beautiful parks in the United States

The parks merged in 1932, when the efforts of Rotary International members from Alberta and Montana joined forces.

The Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park was created to honor peace and goodwill between the U.S.A. and our northern neighbors in Canada. Making this the first peace park in the world.

There are now 170 peace parks like this worldwide.

Wildlife flourishes in the peace park.
