Stowe, Vermont Area Land Sales Market Report - 1st Half 2020 compared to 1st Half 2019
The first half of 2020 has been an interesting period in the real estate market. We continue to deal with COVID-19 challenges (mostly in April, May and June) and national civil unrest. Although it has been somewhat challenging to list and show properties in Vermont because of COVID-19 requirements, we continue to see interest in the purchase of land. Generally, the sales of land have decreased, average and median sale prices have varied by town, inventory has decreased and pending contracts have decreased. Perhaps with the strong demand for homes along with low inventory, we'll see a growing demand for land. It can be a great solution for some who have always wanted to build their own new home.
