This post says it all.... if you're able to do something, you don't need to do it well....you can just do it because you enjoy doing it....

"If you can't learn to do something well,

learn to enjoy doing it badly."

~ Baseball Analyst, Bill James

Your action for today is to identify something

that you're not very good at,

and by looking at it with a new perspective

find something to like about it.

For me that is the absolute joy I get from

playing guitar and drums.

I play daily, and I'm amazing...

...ly mediocre 😂🤣😂

But what it is to learn and make music,

even when I'm my only audience.

I should mention the caveat:  I want my pilots and surgeons to "do it well" but when it comes to your hobbies, golf, music, gardening, crafts, etc. Just enjoy, getting better comes from never quiting something that brings you joy! Thank you for the re-post Barbara Todaro

Hi Barbara,  Glad you chose this one as a re-blog.  If you want to do something well - it should be your job/profession.  Hobbies are the things you do for enjoyment and only you need to appreciate how good you are  - or aren't.

I like your analogy!

Your action for today is to identify something

that you're not very good at,

and by looking at it with a new perspective

find something to like about it.

Barbara that is a good point.  It is OK to do something just because you enjoy it, and not because you are great at it.

Morning Barbara.

My downfall is golf.  While I struggle to be good, I'm just an average player.  Going to test my skills in a few hours.
