Imagine my laughter when I just happened upon this street sign, Lazy Lane OR Dead End, while looking at homes. So let's pretend you live on Lazy Lane but if you take a wrong turn it will turn into a Dead End! That's was an intriguing thought to me in that moment! I knew I had to snap a photo and the perfect opportunity to use it would appear!
Lazy Lane OR Dead End sounded like situations that pop up a lot in life.....and especially this past few months with all the challenges going on in the world. And let's not forget the ranters on social media that is speeding fast towards Dead End, at some point. Lost friends, lost respect, lost authority, lost business, lost happiness and much more. A big price to pay..
I have long believed it's ALL a CHOICE. Everything in life is a CHOICE. Choose your thoughts and actions VERY wisely. And if you find yourself going towards a DEAD END - for Pete's sake CHOOSE AGAIN! Stop talking or ranting or whatever crazy thing you are creating in your mind! Close your eyes and breathe to 10 until you calm down. Repeat that as long as is needed to get your sanity back. You know it won't work out well in the long run to continue on Dead End path!
And yes, you really do know in your gut that you are fast approaching a DEAD END. There is another way...and it takes practice! A lot of practice...or not if you 'get it' quickly.

The other day I received a nasty text from a business affiliate who I've talked with at business events but am not particularly close to. This happened pretty late in the evening, after he had clearly been sipping a few too many. Just plain stupid. Never a wise thing to do.... please just step away from the computer, phone, text, email..... STOP and CALM DOWN. His rant was so off base and rude that I simply wasn't going to 'play' this nutso game with him or anyone else for that matter. I responded back for a second time rationally and then BAM another nasty text came flying in blaming me for his problems. Right, sure, you bet. Not. Some folks just don't get that enough is enough. I was done. That is a DEAD END.
