Today is a good day for a cook out and every one loves beans with it!

Trust me on this one- the flavor combo sound odd but tastes outstanding for a cook out.

This is great in a slow cooker and serves 6 servings

30 oz. great northern beans, rinsed and drained.

1 1/2 cups finely chopped onion

1 tablespoon yellow mustard

1/4 cup chili sauce

1 cup crushed pineapple, undrained.

3/4 cup Bacon Bits

Spray a slow cooker with butter flavored cooking spray.  In prepared container, combine great northern beans, onions, mustard, and cjile sauce.  Stir in undrained pineapple and bacon bits.  Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours.  Mix well before serving.

Will, I'm with Nina, but I do love cookouts, but not today...it's in the 90's and very humid!

Hello Will - I am not sure I am familiar with "northern beans"--- maybe by a different name --- I do like pineapple and that can enhance many dishes.

Will,

Another wonderful recipe from our Colorado Chef.  I am not a big fan of beans, except for string beans...but I can hear people raving about this. A

Will, I had some of the best baked beans of my life in Buffalo years ago at a place called Charlie the Butcher's.  He makes a great beef on weck sandwich, and unfortunately very rarely offers the beans.  Just once in about 17 business trips was I there at the right time, the rest of the time I just hoped for them to be on the menu!

Morning Will.

I'm on a corn trend lately. Corn with creme cheese, minced jalapeno in a slow cooker.  Throw in some diced ham, a meal that gives some heat with the sweetness of the corn. tasty
