How is your commute? Our district along with the entire eastern part of Snohomish County has been ignored, deemed irrelevant, an economic after thought -Snohomish-Lake Stevens-(Monroe not in 44th but impacted also) to name a few communities. All you have to do is look around you and see after two gas taxes from 2003 and 2005 we still have two lane roads (SR 9 - Hwy 2) and throughout the Snohomish valley after 2010 and after the existing projects are completed we will continue to drive on TWO LANES. The transportation department reports we cannot add transit if we have two lanes.
Did you know the new High School in Snohomish will be adding 45 NEW BUS ROUTES? Where are the safety concerns? Our existing 44th District representation has not been focused and based upon no resolution to problems that were identified a decade or so ago why would anyone believe they would be focused now? TALK IS CHEAP. They talk about transportation every election cycle but do NOTHING but blame the taxpayer for not passing a proposition? How about fiscal responsibility and make it a budget priority instead of throwing a 47 billion dollar proposition that would not have cured our existing congestion?
