On August 3, 2020, the U.S. Census Bureau reported nationwide construction spending down 0.7% to $1,355.2 billion in June of 2020 from $1,364,7 billion May of 2020, but up 0.1% from $1,354.1 billion in June of 2019.
Nationwide private construction lower 0.7% to $1,001.2 billion in June of 2020 from $1,001.9 billion in May of 2020.
Residential construction decreased 1.5% of $534.2 billion in June of 2020 from $542.1 billion May of 2020.
Non residential construction higher 0.2% to $567.7 billion in June of 2020 from $466.9 billion in May of 2020.
The public construction declined 0.7% to $353.3 billion in June of 2020 from $355.8 billion in May of 2020.
The educational construction fell 2.7% to $85.8 billion in June of 2029 from $88.2 billion in May of 2020.
The highway construction dropped 1.7% to $102.6 billion in June of 2020 from $104.4 billion in May of 2020.
