Promise Rings to Wedding Rings - It's about committment

I had the priviledge of officiating my sons wedding yesterday. He and his fiance (now wife) had given each other promise rings over 4 years ago to committ to being sexually pure until marriage. It was a strong statement to have the rings on display by the ring bearer and to be able to share with the audience the meaning of those rings. They exchanged those rings for wedding rings and they are off to a life at another whole level of committment. What if REALTORS wore promise rings to pledge our trust, honesty and integrity to the entire transaction process. I want my life to scream out that hard work, honesty and integrity rule the day. Committment has a couple of valuable helpers - sacrifice and discipline. Stick to it REALTORS!! Promise committment!

Thanks Ron for your comment - I can't help what others do or don't do - but we can make a difference in how we each conduct our business and then volunteer at our local boards. This stuff is catching.

What a commitment! Good for them! My son who is 38 has promised to keep himself pure until marriage. I can only imagine how hard that must be for him. Kudos to your son and daughter-in-law. And congrats to you on gaining a new daughter-in-law.
