Colorado is in a Severe Drought - Many Fires around the State

The news stated today that Colorado is the dryest state right now.  We have not seen any measurable rain for some time and can really tell.     We currently have ten wildfires raging in Colorado, and the air is so permeated with smoke, the air quality has been poor for a few days now.   There is one outside Grand Junction which has been blamed for all the smoke in Denver.   So far almost 24,000 acres have burned, and only 7% contained.   We really need some rain badly!

I was showing acreage yesterday, and all you could smell was smoke, and the mountains were not very visible.   You really have to look hard to see them!

Barbara Todaro we get some around the cities in the grassy areas, but are put out quickly.  We just have very thick smoke in the City from all the ones in the mountains.

Hmm, that doesn't sound good at all.  I know in my area we have not gotten any rain at all for a very long time.  I think the last time we got rain it was said that it had been over 100 days since the last time it rained and it didn't even rain for very long.

Kathy, at this point, we would relish any sort of rain....

Brian, if you had more trees, you would see more wildfires too, especially since you don't see rain much either.
