Driving up to the wine country yesterday morning for breakfast, we were accompanied the whole way with a rainbow. It started in Santa Barbara and followed us all the way up to Santa Ynez.
As we were finishing up our breakfast under our umbrella, it started to rain. It lasted long enough to remind us that our car needs a wash.

What a great way to start a day. When I woke early this morning I was greeted with a lightning show, a rare occurrence here. We've had a bit of very light rain, which hopefully will slow down the various grass fires the lightning spawned over night. No rainbows here though -- at least, not yet.

Hi Ron and Alexandra- there are two things that will always bring a smile to my face...butterflies and rainbows.
That has to be a delightful experience, Alexandra! We have had an interesting morning. It reached 109 degrees yesterday, and we will be just a couple degrees cooler today. However, there was a wildfire between Sacramento and Folsom, so looking out the window this morning, there was a mixture of smoke, clouds, patches of blue sky, and rain! No rainbows however!
Pretty rainbow! When you see one and happen to have a camera handy, it can create something wonderful.
