What Are Buyers Looking For

What are buyers looking for in a home?

buyers

Having been inside for the last six months, many people I speak to are looking at bigger homes and bigger spaces inside.  Is there a basement that they can custom finish. Is there space for that movie theater or other things that may not have been considered a luxury. They are looking for a home full of comfort. Find out what they like to do. Are they looking for a gym, gourmet kitchen, a music studio, or a sauna? Is there a "getaway" space inside the home. Is the master suite large enough and private enough? Is there more than one area to dine, to have private separate home offices, a quiet space for Zoom type meetings.  Can the home accommodate guest quarters, kids' areas, and still enough room to enjoy being together for family activities?

Maybe they are searching for the indoor or outdoor pool since traveling is not on the list right now. And what about outdoor space? If it's a condo or coop, is there a balcony or common grounds.  Is there room to gather outside, a deck with a grill, a lighted gazebo, a lawn, tennis, basketball, and some privacy.

This pandemic is not going away so fast instead of months; it could be years. People are ready to move on with their lives and are preparing by making their home fit their needs right now. Buyers are out looking for homes!

Yes I agree I have noticed people are ready to move on with their lives... liberals or conservatives it does not matter.... they are willing to put political differences aside for the sake of living in a home... noticed it not only with buyers but with lease clients as well, Endre

I do think this pandemic has changed requirements for many. And I think having outdoor space that is usable is now a must, not a wish.

Enjoy your day!

Good morning Margaret. People are fleeing the big cities for larger homes in more rural areas. The suburbs of Chicago are hot and Chicago is not. Enjoy your day!

I think these pandemic times have given folks an opportunity to re-examine how they have lived up to this point.  I know I have.  I would change very little, but would travel more.  I'm feeling a ton of pent up road trips looking for freedom to get out there and roam!
