Living up here in Lake Arrowhead on the Lake you know how much I love the water. While traveling to Prescott, AZ recently I was able to experience Watson Lake. Watson Lake is one of two reservoirs at the Granite Dells, in Prescott. It was formed in the early 1900's when the Chino Valley Irrigation District built a damn. The City of Prescott bought the reservoir and surrounding land in 1997 to preserve it as recreational land.

Spanned across 70 acres with a surface elevation of 5,100' it is stocked with channel catfish, large-mouth bass, rainbow trout and bluegill. Surrounded by some of the most picturesque scenes with mountains full of rock and large boulders outlining the shore. It's especially beautiful during sunrise and sunset, but no matter the time of day the views are spectacular.

From my understanding, aside from the stunning views and hiking at Watson Lake, it appears to be the perfect place to propose to your soul mate. A lot of proposals, paddle boarding, hiking, and selfies seem to happen here and I can understand why.
