I just learned about this, and in my mind, it seems to be out and out theft... definitely unprofessional. In my mind it's no different than picking up a random Hummel figure from her China cabinet, or some silverware from her kitchen drawer.
A real estate company is apologizing, after a woman said a Realtor picked her garden clean of fruit while showing her house in Vancouver recently.
On Facebook, the woman says Peter T. Yang, an agent from Luxmore Realty was showing two potential buyers the property Saturday.
“Taking advantage of the fact that we weren’t present on site, he started picking the fruit off the trees and eating it. Greedily, he went back to his car and got PLASTIC BAGS, and returned inside and stood there and picked EVERY LAST FRUIT from our garden. He instructed the viewers happily to join him, and they took a free for all on our home showing. They spat all their seeds out everywhere the ground. Who does this?” the woman writes.
She says she plans to file a complaint to the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver about the “appalling” behaviour that has left her family “distraught,” adding the garden was the “pride and joy” of her grandmother who recently passed away.
Footage captured on a home security camera apparently shows Yang pilfering pears from a tree.
