Whenever we are out and about, we have noticed that face to face conversations abound. There is a hunger for spontaneous face to face time.
Last Thursday, as we were walking back to our car from the Carpinteria Farmers Market, we met a young couple with a dog (pictured above) that resembles Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD pup, Finnegan.
His name is Kai-Lo, (kai means ocean in the Hawaiian language). Kai was very delighted with our pats and our telling him, what a wonderful dog he is. We spent over 15 minutes talking dogs, breeders, oceans, Hawaii, etc..We all left smiling.
Yesterday, we spent over a half hour at Renegade Wines, having the owners pick out wines for us. We shared diferent traveling experiences, best olive oils, and restaurants. We also learned that Tibet (now part of China) is growing grapes in the mountains, which are tended by monks.
We have experienced the same effect talking to our neighbors. We all seem to take more time sharing, laughing, and smiling with our exposed cheeks and eyes. It is a welcome human to human experience!
