FAKE FRIENDS

PROVERBS 18:24 One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.

PULPIT COMMENTARY They will feed upon him, and exhaust his resources, but will not stand by him in the day of calamity, may, rather will give a helping hand to his downfall. It is not the number of so called friends that is really useful and precious. But there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. "Thy true friends hold as very brethren."

How true April, there are Fake Friends just like Fake News and Fake Plants for that matter.

Also reminds me of Ecclesiastes 4

9 Two are better than one,
    because they have a good return for their labor:
10 If either of them falls down,
    one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
    and has no one to help them up.
11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
    But how can one keep warm alone?
12 Though one may be overpowered,
    two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
