Motivational Monday...You Never Know

 

Many years ago when Larry’s work took us to the far off shores of Delray Beach, I thought my world was coming to an end. I was born in Houston and had never lived anywhere else. 

 

Everything I knew... every person I knew...was in Houston. path

 

Within a few months (after I got through my first summer in Florida) I’d met our new neighbors who were to become our extended family in FL, fallen in love with the year-round wonderful weather,  learned to drive an ocean-worthy boat, and discovered the beaches and Atlantic Avenue. 

 

 

Life is full of ups and downs and twists in the road. Just when you think you’ve got everything covered, God says Not so fast, Bucky...I have something else in mind for you. 

 

When you’re faced with those detours or bumps in the road, all is not lost.  You may think that whatever happens is out of your hands but that’s not true. 

 

YOU can decide what happens next...stay mired down in what went wrong or what you’ve lost OR to move forward. 

 

You already know what’s in your rear-view mirror. Look ahead!

 

You’ll never know what’s around that bend!

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD I actually cried every day for two weeks when we first moved. I remember my first neighbor telling me to "root where you are planted."

Ron and Alexandra Seigel what's so important to remember is that we all have a choice. We may not always like it but we can choose.

Don't look back, you're not heading that way! Love this post Kathy Streib and I see what you eluded to. God laughed at my plans in 2018 and turned my world upside down twice in one week. Then HE said trust my plan and keep your faith. So, I did and oh baby, was it worth the pain of change. Happier now than ever, but got dragged through Hell for 12 months to get here. Great post and such a big point you make and a great reminder: keep the faith.

I have never lived outside of the San Francisco Bay Area, Kathy Streib. More specifically the South Bay in Santa Clara and Alameda Counties.

Yet...there is a reason that I may move in the future. Who knows? Life can take a different turn and it is up to us to make the best of it.

You really don't know what's around the corner, Kathy. But in one case, I did know... when my husband took me to Abu Dhabi for what was supposed to be a six month assignment and ended up being a 22 month assignment... I knew that would not be the lifestyle for me... and it wasn't!
