Speechless Sunday-Too close for comfort

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Sharon Lee's Virtual Assistance

There are 3 wildfires currently burning very close to the campground I am staying at.  Folks have said a guy on a motorcycle  and a car are deliberately set them.   The folks familiar with the area said we should be O.K. unless the wind shifts direction.  People down the road have lost their home.  My first and hopefully only wildfire to witness like this.

UPDATE: We didn't have to evacuate. The fire still has hot spots but mostly just lots of smoke.  Thank you everyone for the prayers and comments.  Other places had to evacuate. As far as I know there are no deaths but a home was lost and horses that had to be turned loose.

Hi Sharon,  Thank you for sharing this picture - you are right - I would think that is too close for comfort as well.  Enjoy your camping trip and stay safe!

Be safe. I think arsonists should be punished in the same manner as their crime.

That's a dramatic photo that is a testament to what is going on in California currently.  I hope they catch any arsonists responsible!  What is the location where this photo was taken?

Wow, stay safe! That would be too close for comfort. And what is wrong with people, to deliberately set a fire during fire season? Geez!

Hi Sharon, we are so relieved to hear all is well. Wow, that's too close for comfort. As I mentioned in the email, so sad for the family or person who lost their home.

Wow, that certainly is too close for comfort.  If it becomes a situation where you will be affected, you can drive to a different park, right?

Hello Sharon - with the erratic behavior of ActiveRain, I missed this post when you originally published it on Sunday so I learned of the fire close to you when I read it today(Tuesday).  Stay safe.

OMG....I know my comfort level wouldn't do well in that situation. The smoke must have been difficult to deal with. I'm glad you didn't have to evacuate, but boy it must have been stressful.

Thank you Michael.

Sharon-Sunday was the most stressful day because we didn't know if we had to evacuate. The wind stayed in the opposite direction so we are lucky.  The smoke is really mostly on the other side of the river so can't even smell it.
