Friday Fotos - Persian Squirrel

By

On Willie's walk, we meet a lot interesting creatures.  This little guy looks like a Persian cat version of a squirrel - kbushy tail and all.  It was snow white and a little hard to see against the white brick on the house.  Since I took this, I've spotted him a bunch of times, like the people who live here must put out a little squirrel chow for him every day.  I've seen a lot of all black squirrels in the neighborhood, but never one like this - they call them albino squirrels.

The wild life is something that is a lot of fun about living in Crestwood, a Washington, DC neighborhood that is about two miles north of the White House.  We are surrounded by Rock Creek Park, and there are many deer, foxes, and even a few coyotes.  I nev know who I'm going to meet.

Good morning Patricia Kennedy ,

I have never seen a albino squirrel! It really blended in to the white house and was almost hard to spot. I'm sure I would have done a double take!

Andre, gosh!  For a couple of years, I was Number 1 on the leaderboard, which I now understand was a pathetic example of my addiction to the site.

James, this is the only one I've ever seen.  And it's also one of the bushiest this year.

Dorie, it was really lush looking!  I think it was the tail the set him (or her) off.

Pat- My first time seeing a white squirrel.  Not a fan of squirrels.  Blends in well with the building.

Endre, it's fun to see old friends, but there really seem to be far fewer people posting these days.  It seems like I missed a bit of a system meltdown!  Probably a good thing!
