Lenders leaving the market!

By
Mortgage and Lending 245261

With the demise of some lenders like Greenpoint-Paul Financial and the pressures being placed on banks to get away from Stated Income lending could make it difficult for borrowers coming out of 5-7-10 year option Arms. Working with an experienced professional with years of experience and relationships is imperative. With changes in guidelines and loan amounts more FHA and full doc loans will be needed.

Spoken from a true veteran, with years of experience obviously....

remember when you were young and starting out?

I am in the process of bringing on a young, smart and energetic new Loan Originator, no experience!

And in my experience, they are more open minded to learning and doing everything right.

My point was....after 5 years experience as a Branch manager, I like the enthusiasm of inexperienced new people....they seem to do better when they are ambitious. Too many old veterans give yes and no answers out like they have all the answers. The market has changed so much in the last year, that old veterans sometimes get caught up in the way it use to be because they don't spend any more time in training.

As far as a marketing plan....thanks for the old suggestion....it was one that I learned to use when I got out of college....a few decades ago...This company is celebrating it's 30th year in Business....they have a pretty good training program.

Alot of the people with this company are also registered Financial Advisors...as am I. We also have a few CPAs that are also Securities registered and do Mortgages....I think were pretty well covered.
