This is such an exciting time to be in real estate. I am working with quite a few buyers here in Las Vegas and we are getting deals accepted by the banks. It definitely takes a little extra effort but it has been worth it.
This time in the market right now is what I have been calling the Perfect Storm. The prices have come down to reality, the inventory is high with lots of great choices for the buyers, the interest rates are low (inching up slightly from last week) and the sellers are motivated. 95% of the homes we are looking at now are bank owned foreclosures and are vacant. Many are in move in condition although most need carpet and paint.
