Be A Shark!

My high school mascot was a shark, we were taught to be a shark in all matters of life which basically meant to survive you keep moving forward. These days business is not what it was before the pandemic, or even where it was at the beginning of the pandemic. Things are not anywhere close to being back to normal but it's important more now than ever to work harder than you even think you need to be. If you want to be number one you need up your advertising on all fronts. While online ads (Facebook, Linked In, Twitter) get high feedback it's still so important to send those postcards and newsletters, especially when reaching out to an older demographic. You want to be everywhere!  I've noticed a huge decline in mailed ads and have been genuinely surprised by it. When asked, a real estate agent I know told me she has cut back to solely online advertisement to save money and time. I know times can be tough but you have to just keep your head up and move forward. A great quote from Walt Disney himself: " Around here, however, we don't look backward for very long. We keep moving forward, open up new doors, nd doing new things... and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths."

Business in my market has been at an all time high.  Different of course with taking precautions when showing, but also great.

Gwen,

I am not fond of that analogy.  It has negative vibes and minset for me.  That being said, if it works for you that is all that matters.  A

Gwen, here when someone calls a Realtor a shark, it's usually not a compliment - but you make a good point in this post!

Great advice, Gwen (although usually describing a person as a shark is not considered a compliment):

Things are not anywhere close to being back to normal but it's important more now than ever to work harder than you even think you need to be.

Hello Gwen - regarding high school memories:   for some they are fondly remembered but also a time that others want to forget.

I like the words of Disney you chose to include.

Hi Gwen- this is a good reminder that you often you have to be willing to invest (spend money) to be able to make money.  Now is the time to remind your clients and potential clients who you are.
