Working mostly from home since March 18 has made me look at my business in a whole new way. A revaluation took place. New printer and a new 27 inch all in one computer setup. The laptop that had lasted my over seven years was tired. It was time to invest in a new system. Now I am set up with a large screen and I love it. The printer scanner copier all match up and synced all together so easily it was scary. Just to make it clear I am a PC.
I rarely go into the office I can send everything in. We have two offices. One in NE Philadelphia which is about five minutes from where I live and there is a run that will take whatever I need to my office where I am based out of in Feasterville Pa
We now have office meetings via Zoom. Settlements are usually buyers only. Sellers sign documents before closings and their monies are deposited into their accounts.
Many agents after listings are signed have professional photographers take pictures. I have had different reactions to this. Some sellers do not feel this is necessary. They do not want their house to look doctored up. They have seen pictures like this and feel the house does not look like their house and get buyers who expect to see a house that looks different than what their house actually looks like. Other sellers are excited and say when are they coming. Last time I ordered pictures the house sold before I even had time to get the pictures back and put them on the Internet
Buyers who call and say they are are lookers and do not want to be qualified for a mortgage. They are not for me my time is too valuable. Call me when you are ready as houses are flying off the market. Serious buyer and I am here for you. Loving doing Zoom meetings with buyers. We get to know each other almost right away. I also do Zoom meetings with Real Estate Associates from across the Country where we discuss what is happening in the market and learn new technics.
Today I remembered to put a mirror close to my computer. This was one of the first things I learned in the Real Estate business. A smile can be seen on the phone. A friendly voice can be felt. So make sure you are smiling when speaking to the public as they can feel your smile through the phone.
Real Estate is changing with the Pandemic. It is becoming more personal. In the Philadelphia and Suburban area, it is still very much a seller's market.
Time is of the essence houses sell quickly times to view houses are limited so is the time to make your decision so use it wisely
