It begins with a great mentor.

Real Estate Agent with Optimar International Realty

I started in this business 6 years ago. I knew nothing about Real Estate and no matter how badly I wanted to learn, there wasn`t anyone with the knowledge to teach me!

I floated around three different offices in a period of 3 years until I found the right mentor! It`s been an amazing ride for me, I`ve been very lucky to have been hand held by one of the best in the industry!

This person, taught me the ropes and I`ve finally figured out what Real Estate is all about. I learned that in this business you have to work! There are no short cuts. If you want to be a "Top Producer" you have to sacrifice alot to really see results.

The rewards have been huge for me, and I`m starting to see how all the "Seeds" I planted years ago are "Growing".... I feel good about myself and it shows... There isn`t another profession I could envision myself in... I love this business...

The business is easier when you get training and help.  If you don't get it, all you can do is keep plugging away and learn what you can.

Erika, I think the part about planting seeds is huge.  I'm still planting everyday and know that it will pay off in the long term.  I also have a great mentor that I bounce everything off of.  This person also gets me fired up for this job when I'm down in the you know what.  He's also my accountability partner, which I think helps also!  Great post!

must agree. I`ve found it easier to survive in the real estate business being with a mentor, rather doing on my own!

It definatly helps to have a great mentor. My dad has been in the lending business for close to 30 years and has seen and been through alot...Having that support to guide you through the ups and downs definatly helps!

It really does help when you have someone there to mentor you in a business that fluctuates and is very competitive. I am very thankful for my friend & mentor for all the help he has provided me through the years.
