And Then The Dog Quacked. . .
It happened the other day. I saw a dog and owner coming my way while walking in the neighborhood. At the same time, I saw another dog also accompanied by its human companion.
Nothing too unusual. I turned the corner. Then I heard it. Quacking rather than barking. Quite distinctive. Could that be one of the dogs? I wondered.
Either way, first impressions matter. Don’t they? I wonder. Reality. Illusion. Delusion. I wondered again and then went on with my day.
We don’t know
where our first impressions come from
or precisely what they mean.
so we don’t always
appreciate their frailty.
