Open House VS Floor Time

By
Real Estate Sales Representative with Northwood Realty Services

I was wondering in your opinion what gets you more contacts, Holding an open house or doing floor time? I have held many Open Houses and it seems that I only get one or maybe two good contacts where on Foor Tme I can get double or more and they tend to be more serious than the ones from Open Houses. I guess my question to you is which has the better pay off for you in the long run??

Open Houses produce far less leads than floor time, in my opinion. Open Houses may lead to other business, but I haven't found this to be too productive.

In my short experience, open houses produce a greater quantity of leads, but floor time give a better quality.  People will come to an open house just because they are curious, but people seem to hesitate to call the office unless they are at least somewhat serious.

Probably floor time, although it's a lot easier to take a nap at open houses.
