As we were leaving one of our favorite nurseries, I spotted this large spreading shrub with unusual flowers.  This lovely plant is known as Grevillea "Honey Gem."

Grevillea 'Honey Gem' is a grevillea cultivar originating from Queensland in Australia. It is a shrub that grows up to 6 m in height and has deeply divided dark green leaves that are approximately 29 cm long and 24 cm wide The inflorescences are yellowish orange racemes that are about 16 cm long and 8 cm wide. Wikipedia

It is easy to propagate from cuttings, and it likes sunny, well drained soil.

Happy Sunday!

An interesting find. I plan a trip to my local nursery after a listing appointment today; I wonder what new sight will capture my fancy?

Happy Sunday Ron and Alexandra- I'm not familiar with that plant but it reminds me of something we'd see growing in the wild.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel - that is a rather large shrub.  It could be used for privacy along property lines.

What an interesting shrub, like Roy, it's a new one to me.  Sounds like you're having a great Sunday. We are too - we've been out in the yard enjoying sun and catching up on yard work.
