Sold Virtually | Pet-Friendly Pool Home in Boca Raton
This remodeled home in Boca Raton just closed. The new owners are a beautiful young couple, and the home was sold virtually. Welcome to 2020, the year of virtual everything, including buying homes!
It was just a funny story I had to share.
I digress. This couple was referred to me looking to move back to warmer weather.
I had their wish list. Non-negotiable was: It had to be in Boca Raton. It had to have a pool for the wife and a garage for the husband.
You would think this would be easy as many homes in Boca have pools and many also have garages. But many is not a word when it comes to inventory today. Inventory is very, very low.
Together we were on a mission. We worked hard and we worked fast. Submitted 6 offers on other homes which all resulted in multiple-offer situations that, for one reason or another, weren't just right. A buyer has to feel comfortable in a house, even vitually.
Then we found this home. It had been remodeled, was very clean, had an inground pool with a beautiful view and a 2-car garage. It was in a non-gated community in Boca with great schools.
I did a virtual tour with them. Asked and answered their questions. We submitted an offer, which was accepted.
A few days later, the husband flew down just to double check the house. He did another virtual tour with his wife. All was good so they went ahead.
The house closed last Friday. They both flew down for the closing. It was the first time the wife had ever seen the house in person! We were holding our breaths waiting to see if she liked it and was happy. She was! It made my day.
And that, my friends, are how houses are getting sold these days!
