"Home sales rise again in May" ran the headline in the Bonita Daily News. I walked by it in the supermarket and wondered if my eyes deceived me. But no, for the first time in 2 1/2 years the news was actually positive about the housing market. The article went on to say that "pending sales had spiked 37% from a year ago."
To homeowners like myself, this is very good news indeed. It means the bottom really has been reached and we can anticipate a slow but steady climb back to price levels that mean profitable sales for us.
But what does it mean to you? It means now is the time to buy. There is a window of opportunity here that will be closing soon, closing slowly perhaps, but closing never-the-less. The truth is that, if you are interested in property, either for investment or your own pleasure, now is the time to buy.
There are many bank owned properties, short sales and homeowners unable to out-wait the market turn. There are still many, many incredible bargains to be had in every strata of the market, from the lowest price to the highest end. I am quite sure I will never see prices this low again in my lifetime.
If you would like to see some examples of these bargains, just call or email me. I will be glad to email you listings and even put you in a program that will automatically send you appropriate listings as they come on the market.
