From NYC with love!!

In the last few months everything around us has changed drastically!!

I wake up every day thinking I am having a weird dream. Confusion!!

Is it the twilight Zone? A bad movie? Is this reality?

Why are people buying toilet papers like it's going out of style? Clients are calling to know the future of their homes? Their jobs? To find a steal of a deal? To list their property and run out of the city? Everyone is in the same storm but not in the same boat... Some found new online jobs and some didn't. Forced retirement? Forced new skills? Improvise... Make do...What to do? What to say? Then calm has settled in...Relax!! We have been there before... It's fun stuck at home with all the time in the world to think, to improve to reflect. Hmmm!!

Everything is now virtual!! Am I in a virtual reality show?? Hmmm!

Books went to NOOks, Showing properties went to Zoom, Shopping went to Amazon, Signing went to docusign, Movies went to Neflix (or all their counterparts) and the list goes on... I missed all the hugging, with my family, friends and clients... Change marches on...

IN ROME do like the Roman do!!

Change is here to stay!!

I am optimistic that we, as humans, are creative to come up with a better future!!

Hi Fern S. Hamberger good for you for entering the contest! Honestly between your state and PA it seems like you guys/gals have had the worst of the storm hit you. Great to see you've relaxed and are now enjoying having quality time to dream and create anew! And personally I like all the changes - so much easier to conduct transactions. As for the hugging....I miss that part. And it was so nice to hug one of my dear long time friends a few weeks ago.

Hi Fern,
So many changes happening so quickly. I believe we have a great opportunity to use these changes to our advantage and become more efficient to get more done in less time. What we don't want to do is lose that personal touch that people so desperately want and need.

I missed being with my clients/friends, eating, drinking shopping in person with them. I know it's much faster to do deals. We are all creative, a new age has come upon us... I am not fighting any change but I missed the human side. On a lighter note, It took me a couple of hours to get my mother on Zoom and we had a family meeting. She was so excited about seeing everyone near and far, she did not know whom to say hello to first. I guess i have to be more fluent in social media. I agree it's all happening so fast.
