The July 1 Garden Report

Actually, this is not much of a report, since it is so warm outside. I chose to stay inside and avoid the heat and occasional drizzle today and send this remotely from hiding.

July 2020 garden

Luckily, the garden is doing fine on its own.  A new variety of pepper looks great--Italian Frying pepper. And the Better Boy tomatoes are still very green. But the bush beans have already provided a tiny harvest and look like there are plenty of blossoms waiting to become beans.  And the perennial lily is trying to outshine everyone.

Looks like you are having good produce from your garden, Carolyn.  I've spent more time in mine this year.  My tomatoes and squash began to ripen and be harvested last week.

Myrl-Now I have to keep an eye on the peppers, as something is making small holes in them. Where's a scarecrow when you need one?

The humidity and heat seems to have come a little earlier than normal this year. Stay cool and safe.

Nick-Yes, staying outside for any length of time is getting to be a drag!

Hi Carolyn,  Thanks for sharing these great garden pictures. The vegetables look to be doing very well.  Glad to see my corn is knee-high by the 4th of July.
