13 days left to have your voices heard. June 30 2008 is the deadline set by The U.S. Interior Department to receive public comments as to whether or not Concealed Weapons should be allowed in our National Parks.

To read my prior blog about this issue, click on the following link: Concealed Weapons And The U.S. National Parks...

The following video was from CNN the other day, also discussing this all too important issue. I would urge you to view the video at http://www.cnn.com/video/?/video/us/2008/06/16/dougherty.guns.national.parks.cnn

No matter which side of this issue you sit, you need to have your voice heard. Let Mr. Kempthorne, the Secretary of the Interior, know your thoughts as citizens of this country who enjoy our National Park system.

Cris - My question would be "do concealed weapons belong anywhere unless you are a police officer???" But then I am not a NRA fan anyway -

Barbara-Jo...I'm not an NRA fan either, but I won't restrict a person's right to have a gun...but think they should be restricted from where they can carry them. A National Park is certainly NOT a place for them. Just my opinion.
