I just downloaded Firefox 3.0....WOW!!

I had seen in the yahoo and google news that
firefox 3.0 was Firefox has quadupled its market share in ONE DAY!!coming out and I wanted to
see if it was going to live up to what the press
was saying.

I am STILL learning all the features it has.....
WHEW!!

And it is almost 2 times faster loading webpages
than IE7 (INCLUDING ActiveRain!).

From what I have heard there are over 300
plug ins to the program that can customize it
to my liking.

 

Now all I have to do is find a Firefox group in
ActiveRain and I will be set!!


The news has said that over 8 million copies
of the browser were downloaded in the first
24 hours of its availability. At one time during
the frenzy there were over 14,000 copies being
downloaded per MINUTE! This has Firefox set to
attain the goal of a 20% market share, according
to its CEO.

I just set it up on my computer a couple of days ago myself.  Some things I like... some things not so much.  For instance, I can't get into my P2 websites office page to make changes.  So I have to bounce back and forth from Firefox to IE for some things.

Ellie.......... Yer son knows the best things to know!!! I am glad he is helping you!!! Tell him I said,"HI!"

Helios............. It is about twice as fast as IE7..... I am using it as my default browser....... It even boots up faster than IE7 and my wireless cannot connect on system boot up fast enough!!

Realty Execs..........I am sure Firefox will get that 20% market share....who CARES if it is in the minority....sometimes the minority SHOULD be the majority!!

Nathan.......... I had tabbed broswing with IE7....... but Firefox is SOOOoo much faster!! Thanks for coming by!!

Kathy.......... If that is a problem.......the just use IE7 for your point2 office stuff....that is what I will do. Thanks for the heads up...I have a Point2 website also!!

Hi Alex!

I also downloaded 3.0 last week.  A strange thing happened.  I lost the ability to see my customization for my AR Blog!!  I don't see it, but customer service says they do.  Any chance you or others might know what setting I have to change in Firefox?  I also just love the tabbing when I'm working on my site.

Unfortunately, our MLS won't run on Firefox - so I have to switch back and forth constantly.

Tina......... I have not tried to run our MLS in central Florida yet on Firefox....... I will see today if it will run successfully........ otherwise everything is GREAT!!

I downloaded Firefox over the weekend. so far, I am impressed with the speed.  It works great on some things but I am having trouble with our website and my MLS site being bogged down...

Sondra...........I looked all over flikr.com for just the right picture......yup...........that fox is a cutie!!! Firefox is SOOOO much faster than IE7!!!! Download it woman!!

Lesilie.......... Firefox does not play nice with some websites.......a LOT of MLS's do NOT work well with it........... You will have to jump back to the slow crawling IE7 for that ~~~ hehehehe

 

As Firefox gains MORE market share in usage on the WWW....expect  MORE major websites and smaller ones to be firefox complient!! I have heard it reported that oiver 15 million copies of the software have been downloaded so far........... IE has got a monster on its hands NOW!!!

Pam........ I was not unhappy with IE7 until I downloaded Firefox.... You are welcome for the link!!

Jeff & Grace.......... I have no idea if your MLS will run on Firefox. .......you will have to give it a try. I keep IE7 just to use my MLS.......... it will not work on Firefox either.........
