Monday Edition 6/15/2020 - Pondering Sales, Delay & Time

By

My Photograph of a Green Heron was taken

in Carrollton, TX. I used Ribbet to get this effect.

I delayed posting this photograph for several years because the photo wasn't perfect, the bird not clear enough, and the tree looked drab. But when I changed the color of the sky and I ran across a quote by Benjamin Franklin the inspiration became very clear.

"You may delay, but time will not."

I don't recall the first time I started reading books about leadership, successful companies, acquiring wealth, buying a home, selling a home, or even making a home but all I know is the more I read, the more knowledge I got and the more I began to think harder about life goals, challenges, and opportunities.

How we are wired. What opportunities comes our way. How much time and money are we willing to invest in the perfect world is very subjective and the future is never guaranteed. Books, education, jobs, and life experiences offer insights to help you dream and plan. Organization takes time and effort. Case studies illustrate adversity is what makes some people more successful than others.

Whether time is on your side or not, the impetus for change is unique. Right now, the pandemic has changed many lives. While some people may wait for a stabilizing economy and the roaring stock market to soar to wealth overnight, time waits for no one. If one can afford to move to Texas, here is a list of what you can expect as of June 15, 2020.

We think a lot about our home, time, and money. When we can appreciate what we have right now, the people in our lives, what we have or hope to have, we can understand that delaying time may not be to our advantage. Or maybe it does?

No matter how difficult challenges may seem, the future never really promises any guarantees. Or does it? ---Patricia Feager

Hi Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP that's a beautiful photo.... perfect contrast....it's a bold look at nature....

and for buyers and sellers, a complete picture of the real estate market in Flower Mound and many other communities is your marketplace....

potential clients would be wise to call you for guidance with whatever they need to accomplish in your real estate market....you'll make it happen.... you and I already know that!!

Barbara Todaro - You have a way with words that makes me smile and feel good about myself. Thank you!

I think we should all take a "bold look at nature," and make continuous new discoveries. My plan is to provide further details on each city I listed that could be informational and intriguing to prospective buyers. Now that many people are working from home, they can explore other options rather than be so close to major cities for employment.

Great way to introduce your markets and what buyers can expect moving to Texas. Never seen a Green Heron, ours are mostly Grey but have seen a couple of white ones.

Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543 - getting up early to take a Nature Hike with a Professional Birder was so much fun. If he hadn't pointed it out, I wouldn't have known it was a green heron. That was an experience that I said, I'd like to do it again, but never did. Now I wish I did!

I'll be posting more specifically on my market areas as days progress. Have a great day and thank you.

Patricia, loved the photo! In my opinion, I think successful people look at adversity or difficult times as an opportunity. In contrast those less successful might view it as just one more thing thrown at them that they have to survive or endure. All about the mind set!

I enjoyed your photo and spin on your market.  Are those listing numbers high, low or typical for the towns? While our inventory is growing a bit, buyers still outnumber sellers in most of our market segments.

Lottie Kendall - As always, it's wonderful to hear from you!

Those listing numbers are higher than usual. I'm also seeing many list prices drop. The market is unpredictable right now.

All the best to you in your market area. Thank you!

Hi Patricia,  I love your picture.  It is beautiful and the color is perfect. Time does not stand still, as you know.  I can't believe it has been 3 years since I made the decision to move and I am glad I did but time goes too fast.  Wishing you the best always. :)

Ricki Eichler McCallum - Has it been three years already? My goodness, it seems like just yesterday. Time doesn't stand still and neither should we. The best news is, you didn't spend three years thinking about this move, you took action and had all your ducks in a row and you were ready to succeed.  I am so in awe of you!

Always and forever, I want the best for you!

The picture looks perfect to me, I am glad you finally posted it.  This reminds me of a friend's paintings, she always said they weren't good enough but I thought they looked amazing.  She chose a few to give to me and I always get compliments on them, they are wonderful pieces of art, even though she didn't think they were good enough.

Brian England - Interesting. I thought it looked like a painting too! I just didn't know what others would think. Lesson learned - trust your instincts! Personally, it really comes down to what I think, doesn't it?

Endre Barath, Jr. - It's always nice to hear from you. Thanks, for dropping by.

I think Blue Heron's are the most awesome birds in the universe! It's wonderful that you have those memories of the Blue Herons from Marina Del Rey, CA. In my opinion, if you never get to experience a real Bald Eagle soaring in air, the Herons are the next best thing.

Cheers to many good memories!
