I wrote an offer on a property that was subject to short sale approval by the bank way back in March. We are closing on Friday, June 20th, 2008 and we just got short sale approval yesterday. Does anyone out there know how long this process usually takes? I feel the Mortgage companies are somewhat to blame for the over abundance of foreclosed properties on the market because they make it so hard to get to a closing. The properies are usually trashed, the bank takes their good old time, dates and deadlines only mean something to them if it's them telling you a date or deadline! Buyers get to play the hurry up and wait game. I find it extremely frustrating to deal with these!!!
