When a friend is also a client...this is the kind of email that shows up:
''Let’s define “real estate broker,” just so that we’re all on the same page. However, if you have ever searched for, ultimately bought or sold a home or read a real estate blog, you’re already up-to-speed on basic real estate terminology:
“Broker: A real estate broker is someone who has acquired their broker license and represents the seller or buyer of a real estate property.”
So what can I add about a hometown gal I’ve known for 30-plus years, both personally and professionally …… long before she traded her nurse’s cap and ceramic artistry talent for unique properties, enthusiastic clientele, challenging schedules, negotiation, mediation, remediation and all that encompasses an energetic broker’s world:
That she will educate you in your home buying or selling journey?
Absolutely, with equal parts of listening and honest feedback re: your needs and must-haves as a buyer or seller.
That it’s never a dull moment in Margaret’s world?
To be sure, with a mix of laughter and seriousness on an as-needed basis.
That knowing Margaret becomes a life-changing experience?
Well possibly, however, not as life changing as the upcoming launch of the new flavor of peanut butter cups (but more on that later).
My husband and I married last year. Within a few weekends, Margaret showed us several condominiums both in the zips we needed, comparable with our price range and our two non-negotiables: elevator and garage parking.
We all thought the sale of my husband’s townhome would prove just as seamless, despite the home’s larger square footage and the distance factor. Then … enter a life-changing pandemic … it was no longer “business as usual” in any enterprise. Then … enter “Margaret.” Albeit the safety and other logistical challenges, we had many positive showings and an effortless closing with happy seller and buyers. It gets no better than that!
( And now … about that new peanut butter cup flavor … well it can’t come soon enough, just like the COVID-19 vaccine J )
