Have You Found Yourself A Delicious Person?

Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

StrawberryIn driving around married couple buyers as a REALTOR there are some days when you witness relationships not exactly made in heaven. I stick to the house part and refrain from the marriage counseling practice. Although I am sure some REALTORS could give classes on helping the two communicate better in this process which would help sell more homes.

I recently learned from a study that in addition to exercise, nutrition, and stress management as factors to maintain a high level of health and well-being, another factor was MORE important: SELF-REVELATION. So I pose the question:

The concept that goes with this thought is that in your life you need at least one "nutritious" person. They are someone who you can consistently, deeply share your thoughts and feelings openly with. The need for being seen, listened to, acknowledged, and understood makes or breaks your biology and is your lifeline.

This naturally could be a spouse, or evolve to a brother or sister, parent, or a close friend you find along the way. This relationship has to be tested for its trust, safety with your vulnerability, perpetual respect, and honesty. You have to be able to lower your shields (with someone) to grow.

So look around in your life for these delicious people, and find one or two.

They will make your life SWEET!!

P.S. Sorry for the graphic for my readers on diets : ) I didn't intend to be cruel, just illustrating a point here.

Gary, some of my clients are so "sweet" and delicious. You love working with them and them with you, they become friends for life. A few along the way are like biting into a unripe piece of fruit. You think it will be delicious only to find it rotten or sour.

Kiwifruit is my graphic, LOL

Great thought provoking post. I have met buyers you described and try to work with the lady first and get to know her likes and dislikes and then  it is easier to show them homes  together.

Gary... what can I say about this post that you haven't already found out?  My girlfriends are my delicious people.  Every darn one.  They nurture me, love me no matter what.  I also have a few men friends around that do a great job.  You being one of them.  On sweet occassions, my son Max.  Mike is a teenager and he doesn't see past his nose some days.  Great post... pass the chocolate covered strawberries please!

I'm both vicious and delicious! I have to work out a minimum of 3 times a week just to keep my sanity and hopefully my blood pressure. I feel better after that and it takes away from the hub bub of the rest of the day. I AM JUST TO SWEEEEEEEEEEET!

Gary, I have several SWEET and DELICIOUS people in my life: my husband and my "sisters" ( a group of girlfriends).  They are all sweeter than sweet, a bit like Neal Bloom  :)

Gary, What a wonderful post and I loved the picture.  I am very fortunate to have some "nutricious" people in my life and I enjoy every second knowing they are always there for me.  I sure do hope I am "sweet" to some people!

Gary:  Hmmm, I'm a chocaholic --- forget the strawberries.  But, I have friends and family that I find delicious.  I sometimes lick my grandchildren's faces they are so scrumptious.

Jennifer: Delicious people make the difference. Go for the chocolate. You only go round once!

Pam: With a stud muffin who needs strawberries? : )

Mel: We all deserve some decadence in our lives. Go for it. Might have to get new pants though :)

Joan: You are right about appreciation. Hug your delicious person today.

Steve: You can never have enough, well said. Need to grow new ones along the way.

Carol Culkin: EVERYONE IN YOUR LIFE is delicious. That's terrific!!

Carol Lee: I'm hearing this trend among women that their girlfriends have the inside track!

Sally: Have to have that trust when the shields go down. Enjoy the creamsicle.

Deb: My delicious ones would be my wife, my brother, close friends locally and some here on Active Rain who I have shared with.

Arina: I knew you had some delicious people. Don't mean to wear you out with the posts!

Missy: Some sweet, some sour. I like the idea of the kiwifruit as the graphic.

Gita: Working with the wife buyer first is a good idea.

Susan: I knew you would have a ton of delicious friends and you are delicious to them too. Many women have first their girlfriends for that girl talk kind of stuff. Glad I'm considered someone you can trust too. I wish I could hand out my virtual strawberries to everyone. Yes, Neal is on your list of sweeties. You're gathering in quite a crop ; )

Neal: Stay healthy with the working out and unload with expressing yourself to people. You'll do fine.

Marzena: Good you have that circle of people. Another Neal fan in our midst.

Allison: This can be overlooked, the whole idea of self-revelation, yet it is important.

Michelle: You're welcome.

Carole: You're a sweetie to EVERYONE Carole!

Jan: Those grandkids are REALLY loved!!!

Teri: If we could only have strawberries and chocolate on our diets.

Chuck: You are off on your search.

IMNJ: Very cool bookmarking web site.

Tom: I am glad for you.

Wow - what a beautifully visual concept....'delicious' people......surrounding yourself with them, both to savor and be savored........and to be the 'delicious' person people want to have in their lives......

Sondra: The nutritious people feed us inside with our self revelation to them. A little strawberries and ice cream sound good to me. You won't have to twist my arm.

Leslie: Fruit salad and nuts people for you? Interesting group you have there. As long as they work for you. I have some cherished "nuts" in my gang as well.

Liz: I like that savor and be savored phrase. It is a sharing, a give and take.
