It's that time of year when everyone is pulling out the pumpkins, ghosts and goblins. The air is crisp and the leaves are changing colors. This year the fall trends are full of style and they may be worth taking a look at especially if you are selling your house time of year. It doesn't matter if you live in the mountains of California or the desert of Arizona, these fall trends will make any living space trendy!
The colors are neutral and pair well with this just about any style or color you currently have in your home. There is lots of texturing and layering and rattan accents as well. Knit pillow covers in burlap, plaid, rust and gray colors are really popular this year. Clay is another great color this fall season. Accent rugs in this color will make a room pop and it looks great against most other neutral tones.
Colorful fake plants like Tropical Crotons are perfect this time of year. The colorful foliage screams fall and looks great in silver buckets, clay pots and even just simple white. Tabletop heirlooms are trendy centerpieces consisting of colorful pumpkins in orange, white, sage and even burgundy. Throw blankets along the couch in clay, rust, gray or even deep blue give the living room a little extra color and flair.
Traditionally, things like acorns and pine cones are perfect for filling vases or adding to centerpieces. Scented pine cones are always a hit this year and most hobby stores have them with dried fruits like oranges and cranberries as well. These are great bowl fillers for the bathrooms!
Lanterns, pumpkins, hay, mums and fall signs are perfect for front porches and give the outside a look of fall without over doing it. Simple fall wreaths spruce up the front door and add a pop of color. I think the best thing to remember is not to overdo it. A little can go a long way when it comes to fall decorating.
