How using the wrong/right language makes a difference... READ.

Real Estate Agent with Du Rite Realty, Co.

Hi Everyone,

I truly love all the experinces I have in Real Estate....

When I am working with a buyer some times I e-mail the listings  to save some time on both sides, and usually include a friendly professional  note  to them and explaine all te details and at the end,I USED  to say "we will go and see any listings that is in your interest TOGETHER."

I sent an e-mail to this male buyer and included the clause  above to the end of my e-mail. The next thing I remember is having a phone call back from this person and he started talking a little off and said I woyuld go anywhere with you and see anything with you and ....... My God I felt so insulted and angry.

The next day I handed the  buyer to the oldest male in office so he wouldn't think other wise any more.

For a while that was a nice joke around the office.

Ladies becareful how you talk or write your e-mails do not make the same mistake I made... or just maybe that person was  not mormal...

 Yours,

Sharona Du Rite Realty, Co.

Hi Sharona,   You were right to trust your instincts.  I would also add that some of the women's fashion probably send an inappropriate message.

A woman's world is not safe in Real estate. You have to be professional at all times or you could give off the wrong idea. You and I both know that we have to be careful with what we wear as well. Take care.

Last week a colleague of mine was on "floor duty". A 35ish male walked in and said that he would like to list his townhouse, just minutes from the office. She went into the conference room and talked with him, then he wanted her to "see"the townhouse. Oh, ok, she said. As she walked outside, she got a gut feeling! She called the Receptionist and told her that she was really uncomforable. Well, thank God our great Recpt..asked Steve to go with her. When they go to the townhouse, there was very ltitle furniture, and a new bed with no sheets. She came back shaking! She felt like it was a rape waiting to happen. WE LADIES MUST TRUST OUR INSTINCT. AND, we should always get a copy of his DL, don't ya think? On a cold call such as this, I think we should always have a partner with us...preferably one of the opposite sex! I am NOT a feminist at all...I see the value in our males! Anyway...Safe saleing to you ladies.
