Plenty Of Green
And
More Than Enough
Brian England
HaHa
Recently I read a post by Brian England about an East Valley neighborhood. He knows the area well as a resident and a local real estate professional who combines his extensive knowledge along with a friendly and helpful can-do attitude.
His manner can be found in his writing and as I found out in November 2018, it exists in person too. I digress...there seems to be too much Brian in this post. HaHa.
In that particular East Valley post, Brian mentioned plenty of green in his title and I left a comment about the term "plenty of green" which can certainly carry many interpretations:
A golf course and seemingly endless expanses of rolling hills/lawns.
A bag overflowing with cash.
A dinner plate with a disproportionate amount of vegetables.
A leprechaun who may have indulged too much on St Patrick's Day.
I stopped at that point in my commenting(an all too rare indication of restraint on my part many times) but this is not a comment but MY post so I will continue.
Green can also make one think of:
A frat party where Kermit The Frog is the guest of honor. Imagine what might happen in a blender-gone-wild mishap. Yikes. On second thought, no need to think about it let alone imagine.
Then there's the old saying green with envy which is something to avoid.
Green also seems to be a part of life in more ways than ever. And then a few days ago I see evidence of "it" in a post by Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543 revealed his appreciation of Greensleeves as part of his musical tour around England and the world.
The importance of the color green in our lives extends far beyond mere symbolism. It's real. Nature and life. Seasons, science and all sorts of enchantments.
People come to mind as well. Of course, on ActiveRain we may think of green real estate expert Jan Green. But thoughts of other Green personalities are a part of my green pondering. Singer-Songwriter-Record Producer Al Green may come to mind. I know his name did for me.
The star of the television show, Bonanza, Ben Cartwright I mean Lorne Greene. The western was a part of my childhood with Hoss and Little Joe in attendance on a weekly basis.
And just for a laugh, are you aware of comedian Shecky Greene? What's an extra "e" between friends, eh?
As, I mentioned to Brian in his post that day, I'll stop now before it's too late. Maybe it's that time already.
Feeling Green Yet? Hmm... I digress. And what about blue and yellow when combined yield green as a color? Yes, it's much tooooo late.
