Turning 72 with most of the family

Yup, I turned 72 this past week and most of the family was here. Missing was my son, Sascha, who lives in Berlin Germany. He called twice on my birthday and twice the day after, so I definitely got my 'Sascha Fix'! 

This year I ordered and purchased my own birthday cake, a chocolate sheet cake with fresh strawberry and fudge filling from Publix. Then my daughter brought over a Black Forest Cherry Cake, so there was PLENTY of cake in the house!

My daughter, her hubby and my two wonderful granddaughters came over and together with Ronnie and I, we celebrated my birthday. It was truly a lovely evening complete with too many gifts and flowers. The most important part of the day was spending it with the family and getting to talk to my son on FaceTime video.
