By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Preferred Real Estate

Apparently, the Deprtment of Justice, along with the IRS, Secret Service, and FBI did a sweep this morning arresting 60 people in Houston for Mortgage Fraud. They also made arrests in Chicago, Miami, and some other regions.

Since March they have arrested well over 400+ people under Operation "Malicious Mortgage".

In the near future they will continue to sweep the metro areas accross the country, arresting those who participated in mortgage fruad over the last few years.

I guess there will be some people who will not be sleeping to well tonight! I know quite a few agents and mortgage brokers who will be looking behind themselves now that it has started!

Yes. They will be visiting the Northeastern portion of the country soon.

It's great that they are cracking down on this.

Maybe they will arrest all the crooks at FannieMay and FreddieMac.  Thats where the real fraud was going on.
