Rainbow in Princeville, Kauai

Like many, we miss the opportunity to travel because of the pandemic...well, we COULD, but... and have recently been talking about our past trips to Kauai and Maui, and how nice it would be to just pack up and go. But it's nice to have lots of photos to remember those trips for now.

Rainbows are pretty common there, and always fun to see, especially when you are just sitting around relaxing by the pool overlooking the ocean, as we were here before dinner in Princeville, Kauai.

My son, who lives in Alaska, got fed up with their wet summer. The entire family flew Alaska airlines to Kona. They quarantined for two weeks, per Hawaiian rules, and are now happily frolicking in the surf. They plan to spend the next few months there. He wants us to come visit, but we our entire trip would be spent in quarantine. Lol.

How fortunate that they could take off and enjoy being in Kona for an extended time!! Yes, it would be fun to visit, but the quarantine would rather take some of the enjoyment out of a visit unless you could be there for a while, wouldn't it?
