YouTube Thursdays - More Thumbnails
Good information. I like the way you did the Thumbnails..
Last week's YouTube Thursdays featured the importance of thumbnails. It's the first image on a video that either captures a viewer's attention, or not. Many of us get complacent and allow YouTube to randomly choose the thumbnail from a scene in the video.
This week, we chose a selection of thumbnails that we think not only capture attention, but are representative of what viewers can expect when they watch. After all, you want to deliver what is expected.
In this video, Joe Manausa discusses a topic that is on the mind of many prospective sellers and buyers.
You don't always need a photo of you on the thumbnail. However, as we discussed last week, you might want to consider a certain percentage to ensure you're building familiarity with your audience.
This thumbnail on an Andrew Mooers | 207.532.6573 's video is perfect. If we were in the market for a home on a lake in Maine, this would certainly get our attention.
We like this thumbnail featuring the Bozeman Real Estate Group - it not only got our attention, but kept our attention as each agent shared a bit about themselves.
Mimi Foster has a nice mix of thumbnails featuring her photo. We also like this one because it addresses how our homes have become much more in 2020.
The bottom line, we think it's worth an extra step to design a custom thumbnail for your videos. We generally use Canva or Picmonkey to create ours, but there are other options such as Adobe Spark and Crello.
Remember, you are welcome to share your own YouTube Channel in the comments below. And, it's always good form to return the favor when someone visits your channel and subscribes, likes a video, and/or leaves a comment.

ViewHomes™ grew out of our passion for nature, beautiful surroundings, and peaceful environments. Starting together in an urban environment, over the years we've gravitated towards areas with smaller populations and less density. We now enjoy our lifestyle in a rural environment, but with close proximity to metropolitan areas where we appreciate all the amenities of fine restaurants, shopping, and an easy drive to an international airport.
Living in ViewHomes™ is like having “elbowroom for the soul”.
