The Path Less Pondered

It might not seem like it but there is far more pondering going on in my head than ever makes its way to a post.

Preposterous, you say?  Well, it's true.  I do abide by a self-edit panel within my brain as I imagine each of us maintain.  Or at least that is my attempt.  I don't say it works perfectly.  It does have issues on occasion.  Things can certainly go wonky beyond the grounds of the ActiveRain playground.  That's for sure.

But as an overall rule and standard operating procedure, I prohibit certain pondering to travel from that "safe place".

I thought about it the other day, actually it happens on many days.  Just because I think it, does not necessarily mean "it" will show up in a post.  Or spoken.  Or communicated in any sort of way.

If you give people nothingness,

they can ponder

what can be achieved

by that nothingness.

                                                                  Tadao Ando

It is somewhat ironic that this is the quote I found for this post as it seemed rather familiar to me.  I searched the author Tadao Ando and even his biography(an architect) looked as if I had researched it previously.

Hmm, could this pondering be taking a toll on me?  Thanks to the AR search function, I inserted my name along with the name of the author and indeed, found that same quote.  It was, I guess not-so-coincidentally,  a pondering post(from October 2017) but not exactly the same theme as this one.

I liked it then and I like the quote now.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it.  Pondering and all. . .   History repeats itself at times.  Lots of things do. . .

Hello Michael Jacobs - oh that filter.  Mine has failed me at times. The issue with the failure is that once it is out - it is out and there ain't no getting it back.
Nothingness is my goal in meditation.  When I arrive there it is such a blissful, peaceful place.

Good morning Michael! I like to think that pondering is the crock pot that brings the initial thoughts to full flavor.

Kathy Streib - I do wonder, if my pondering helps eliminate any possibility of spontaneous combustion.

Sheri Sperry - MCNE® - the need to "veg out" is enormous.  Regardless of what else may be happening.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel - exploring differences is a good "project".

Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400 - know-it-alls exist in all parts of life although they do seem visit the world of real estate more often.

Kathleen Daniels, Probate & Trust Specialist - I am channeling the opening from the classic television show Mission Impossible and the magic of self-destruction.

I too found Nature's Oval absolutely breathtaking. Thank you for introducing me to this wonderful architect. Lately, I've discoverd when I have spoken freely, I've regretted it. It reminds me that it's not our job to sway others to our point of view. My personal posts and comments in social media, have for the most part, remained neutral this year. It's been the year to self-edit.

I laughed at you discovering you had already used the quote, because I often am surprised at posts I have written in the past and didn't remember writing.

With my Wordless Wednesday posts, especially...I have to check to make sure I haven't already used a quote or a title. More than once I have come close to repeating.

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD - I apologize for the delay in responding to your comment.  Sometimes I read a comment while on my phone and don't respond until I am back on my laptop.  Anyway, the examples of Ando's architectural skills are rather amazing.

Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 Waves Realty - avoiding landmines of all kinds is a worthy goal.

Morning Michael.

When I find someone to write about I run a check on AR to make sure I haven't written about them before.  Most of the time I haven't, but on occasion I have.

Michael, pondering on nothingness is meant for Sundays.   I TRY not to work on Sunday and do stuff I personally need to accomplish.

Debe Maxwell, CRS - I laugh often at the musings of Kathy Streib as well.  She may be nicey-nice but she is also real.  It's a good combination and she "wears" it well.  Knowing cringe-worthy people helps all of us in my opinion.
