Today is the last day for California businesses to file payroll tax information with the  California Employment Development Department (EDDin order to avoid penalties and interest.


The filing due date for the third quarter of 2020 (July-September) was October 1, but the EDD will not impose penalties and interest if all required documents are filed by today.


Two of the most critical forms to file:


1. DE 9 (Quarterly Contribution Return and Report of Wages) 

2. DE 9C (Quarterly Contribution Return and Report of Wages) [Continuation]
