A Shout Out of Thanks to Medella Urgent Care
Years ago, urgent care or 24-hour clinics were something I would not have considered. When I did try one in Delray for my bronchitis, I opened the door, took one look at the waiting room, and walked out.
It was full of...well...sick people. Most of them had colds at the very least, and I knew that if I went in, I’d probably walk out even worse.
When I moved back to Houston and was still on the search for a Primary Care Physician, I got bronchitis again and decided to try an Urgent Care Facility. I did some research and Medalla Urgent Care had high marks from the Internet and my local Nextdoor app.
This week my bronchitis returned for its annual visit and my primary care doctor suggested I try an urgent care facility because they cannot see patients with upper respiratory illnesses because of COVID.
And once again, Medella Urgent Care came through. With COVID, they have virtual consultations or you can go to one of their facilities. (they have two)
I was able to get an appointment that same morning. Because of the virus, I waited in my car for a PA (Physician’s Assistant) to come out to a car. Everything that needed to be done was done curbside, including a test for COVID since my issue was upper respiratory.
Always call 911 for critical emergencies but if your own doctor cannot see you, check out your local Urgent Care facility.
Thank you for your excellent care and service!
