Yukon is home to such celebrities as singer Garth Brooks and actor Dale Robertson. And we shouldn't forget our famous Grady the Cow, of course!

YUKON was found by A.N. Spencer, a cattleman from Texas, in 1891 and named after Yukon River in Alaska.
Historically Yukon served as an urban center for local farmers and an area of a large milling operation. Yukon's Best Flour sign is still widely recognized. It was restored in 2013 and it brightly shines at night on the top of the iconic flour mill on historical Rt 66.

YUKON OK has been experiencing a spectacular growth for over a decade. Still with such dynamic growth the community retained a small town atmosphere. It prides itself to be friendly and family oriented.
Yukon, OK covers about 25 square miles and its population is about 27,500.
The area continues to grow in both the number of residents as well as retail spaces and a vigorous dining scene. Just recently Yukon welcomed Crest Foods - Oklahoma owned and operated since 1946.
Being a long time resident of Yukon OK, I witnessed a lot of great changes and a tremendous growth of this town. Sometimes it seems like the progress happens too fast, however, I might be a little nostalgic.

The main commercial area which runs along Garth Brooks Blvd offers a vast array of shopping and great restaurants. Shop to your heart desire. When you get tired and need more 'oopmph' there is plenty of awesome restaurants to choose from like - Johnny Carino's, Louies's, Chili's, Logan's, Johnny's, Alfredo's, McAlister Deli and many more.

Experience great shopping along Historical Route 66 on Main Street ... from unique boutiques, specialty stores and more small restaurants and cafes.
Stop by the iconic Yukon's Best Flour Mill - imagine that at one point this structure was 'responsible' for prosperity of the town.



Yukonites are very proud of their giant four legged ambassadors who reside at Express Ranches Clydesdales. These magnificent horses represent Yukon all over our Nation at special events.

Yukon is also well known for traditional Czech Festival in October and Yukon Chisholm Trail & Crawfish Festival in June.
Yukon offers plenty of activities on monthly basis all around the city. From Daddy & Daughter Dance, Yukon's Chocolate Festival, Festival of the Child, summer Concerts in the Park, Freedom Fest, Christmas in the Park and many, many more. rodeos, movies, restaurants, arts, shopping, festivals, sport events ... there is something to do for everyone!
