203k alive and well in Auburn CA
We have been doing 203k projects all over the USA now for about twenty-six years. I remember one in particular that was located in Auburn CA that had a failed foundation. It was raised up about 4" high with a Y shaped crack that was also about 4" wide. The borrower's had bids that ranged from $60,000 to $95,000 when we were called out to inspect the project for a 203k loan.
I had heard about a company that would level a home like this and fix the problems with their patented process of installing "push piers" where they actually tie into the existing foundation and then push a pier into the ground, and every couple of feet attach an additional pier piece and continue doing this till they reach solid ground and then the foundation starts coming up and into it's original location causing a leveling of the floor. It is amazing to watch as the process unfolds.
Oh, by the way they made that repair for about $20,000 which made the client very happy in the process. Then they guarantee it stable for 20+ years.
