I know it's Wordless Wednesday and this photo speaks all for itself, but how amazing that we can live in such beautiful places and sometimes take it for granted. With so much going on in the world from COVID to Politics we seem to be noticing less and less the beauty around us and all that we truly have to be thankful for. It's no wonder we often see the light at the end of the tunnel as the train coming to get us.
Nature is so peaceful and so calming. How often do you get to sit with it? How often do you make time for it? Many are stuck in front of TV screens, computer monitors and cell phones. We sit there like something is going to change and in some ways it does. But, the only real thing that changes is our mindset and how we start to look at the world or the things around us because what we are seeing persuades us to do that. Most of the time it isn't for the better. Our minds and emotions become a cess-pool of negative thoughts and the next article, commercial or social media post triggers what our mind has already perceived and the viscous cycle continues.
Knowing when to recognize where your thoughts are leading you is so important. At the end of the day we have so much to be thankful for, and if we look for them we even have more to be positive about than negative about. Sometimes you just have to turn off the TV, the social media and all the chatter around you and really take in the blue sky and peace that nature surrounds us with. That is something that I truly enjoy doing. Favorite drink in hand, sometimes a good book, but mostly just examing the view and being thankful I woke up today and get to choose what I feel and how I "react".
