As a part of our month of gratitude promotion, I wanted to repeat some of the people I have expressed gratitude for in the last couple months. And I share at least 2 each week on Sunday afternoons.
Carol Williams – Carol is someone that we all look up to. Definitely Carol understands the Active Rain community and is a vital part of it. This week, Carol didn’t just answer the question on the Q&A page, she did so by investing the time to call me personally. She even went so far as to compliment my posts and then asked if I might help by giving a brief presentation on a couple of our Tuesday AR calls. Thank you Carol for caring and for making me feel special.
Anna Banana Kruchten – Okay now we all know what a great sense of humor Anna has and how she looks to show us the lighter side of things. And we also know that nobody likes a “drive by” comment. And still, believe it or not, in addition to thanking Anna for her humor, I have to duplicate what I just said about Carol. Just 1 hour after Carol called me, Anna called me to help to answer my question as well as pat me on the back for what she thought I was doing well.
Margaret Rome – I see people all the time who reply to Q & As simply looking to get points. It appears they have no interest at all in helping, they are just hoping people will vote for their answer simply to get another 10 points. Not Margaret. Margaret is one of those people that if she is in your life you just thank God for her. She always looks to be helpful. You can see she earnestly cares about others and looks to serve them – not herself. Thank you, Margaret, for being the wonderful member of the AR community that you are.
Debe Maxwell – I long ago lost count when someone didn’t have an answer so they said, “I’ll have to ask Debe”. And of course, she places so much time every week into doing things like helping to organize our Tuesday calls. Honestly, it’s like Active Rain should be paying her since she does so much so that so many can use this tool more effectively let alone network with folks across the country. She does all this while being a superstar agent in the top 1% of her marketplace. We all owe Debe a great big huge thank you!
Nick Vandekar – beyond the fact that Nick consistently exposes us all to wonderful unique music from all around the world, I want to personally thank Nick for calling me this week. First he gave me a tip to help me with something I was trying to accomplish and then he took the time to ask me about me and my business taking an interest in me. Thank you Nick!
Roy Kelley – There can be no doubt that Roy is the most helpful member of his community. Each and every day, exposing different areas of his community that are serving the citizens in the area. I can only imagine how many hundreds or thousands oof people have been helped from posts that Roy has placed out there. Thank you Roy for all the areas of your community that you help.
Kathy Streib – you have been so kind since the week that I first returned to Active Rain after an absence near a decade. Your kind words have been a daily pick me up and the fact that I have landed in your weekly lists multiple times really humbles me. Thank you for all you do for me and for the entire AR community!
Will Hamm – not only were you kind enough to send me private notes to encourage me, you also picked up the phone to chat with me. Not only did you give me great pointers, you gave me a great boost to my day. I love laughing with wise people like yourself.
Barbara Todaro – Barbara is now retired from real estate after 42 active years in the business. And in all that time Barbara has learned so much. The wonderful thing is that she shares that knowledge with us freely and with humility.
Nina Hollander – Nina seems like she should be the “atomic Realtor”. Nina is so supportive of all of us here in the AR world and she is always upbeat and full of positive energy.
